Castle Donington Surgery is committed to providing a safe, comfortable environment for all patients. We will always respect your privacy, dignity, and your religious and cultural beliefs. All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present for any consultation, examination or procedure where they consider one is required. One will always be offered where the examination may be of an intimate nature, but you may also request a chaperone when making the appointment or on arrival at the surgery (please let the receptionist know). You may also request a chaperone at any time during the consultation.
A clinician may also request that a chaperone is present during a consultation.
This policy applies to all examinations and procedures, not just those of an intimate nature. Patients of any gender may request a chaperone at any point.
