Except for emergencies you will always need to make an appointment to see or speak to a doctor. We will always attempt to see URGENT MEDICAL problems on the same day, within safe working limits of the clinical team. You may be signposted elsewhere.
Appointments can be made by telephoning the surgery on 01332 856050 (Option 1) between: 8:15am and 6:30pm.
Appointments can be made face to face via reception anytime after 08:30am. Staff will not be available to deal with your face to face requests before this time.
If you would prefer to speak to a doctor we also offer telephone consultations, just let the receptionist know when booking.
Telephone consultations are designed for medication review, follow-up appointments or general problems where no examination is needed. However if the doctor feels they need to see you face to face, they will call you down to the surgery at an appropriate time.

Please see the Online Services tab
HOME VISITS ARE ONLY FOR PATIENTS WHO ARE BED/HOUSEBOUND AND/OR TERMINALLY ILL
Please come to the surgery if at all possible. We are better equipped to help you here. Remember we can see several patients at the surgery in the time it takes to do one home visit.
Visits are carried out after morning surgery from 12.30pm onwards. If you are able to attend morning surgery, you will be seen a lot sooner than waiting for a home visit.
If you need a home visit please try to telephone before 10:30am to enable the visits to be shared amongst the doctors. Visits after this time may be subject to triage by the Duty Doctor.

We are currently in the process of promoting the use of text Messaging as an alternative method to conventional post.
We are asking patients to provide two levels of consent to messaging.
This is usually in the form of appointment reminders. 1 day before your appointment with the Doctor or Nurse, the appointment system will send you an appointment reminder.
If you are happy for this to happen, please inform a member of staff or please fill out the consent form.
We are also asking patients to provide consent to receive additional information via text or email. This additional information may be the outcome from your recent tests, requests for you to book a follow-up appointment, advice on further treatment or notifying you may need a prescription etc.
Again we are asking patients to provide express consent, without it we will send you this information by a traditional post methods.
If you wish to consent please inform a member of staff or the GP at your next visit.
